The year that was

01 Dec 21
After a forced hiatus thanks to COVID in 2020, we were so excited to get back in the driving seat.

Throughout the year, the ManUp! team made a huge impact to the lives of regional and rural Queenslanders by delivering 376 education sessions, designed to motivate and encourage men to take care of their health by taking a yearly PSA test designed for early prostate cancer detection.

This is what we achieved thanks to your generous support.

  • We travelled more than 45,000km
  • We visited 38 communities
  • We delivered 376 prostate cancer information sessions
  • 85 men were diagnosed with prostate cancer after taking action from our talks over the past 3 years

The feedback we received throughout the year was also extraordinary, it means so much knowing we are making a real impact to the lives of so many.

“That was an awesome talk and I know everyone got a lot out of it. Most lads from our team learnt something. I have booked in for a PSA test at 8am tomorrow when I get home.”

There are so many more communities we want to visit to help educate them about prostate cancer and ultimately help save lives.

But we need your help.

We desperately need a new set of wheels to safely take us around Queensland to deliver this important message. As many of you would be aware, driving on rural roads can be dangerous, especially at dawn and dusk. We need to purchase a 4WD complete with extra safety features like a bulbar to keep us safe driving long distances and often on unsealed roads.

By making a generous gift today, together we can help change the statistics and ensure more men are aware of the importance of early prostate cancer detection. Please help us keep the wheels turning.
